Modemo Toden 7000

Modemo has announced it will do another run of the Toden 7000 used on the Arakawa line.  These cars load from high platforms unlike most other Japanese streetcars. As such these cars will not be compatible with the Kato Unitram set up which uses a street level platform.

Two cars were sold to Toyohashi in 1992 and 1999 (four a total of four) and have recently been issued by Modemo, but this is the first time the current Toden fleet livery has been available for several years.

If I recall the 7k series are due to be withdrawn from service soon. I wonder if they kicked up the production in expectation of the big farewell event for them.
