Fast & Furious Nano Cars

I found these at Target while I was in the toy department with my daughter.  They are pretty close to N scale and are quite nicely painted and detailed and are also die cast metal.  Brian's Toyota Supra pulled over for speeding. 🙂

Folks,

Putting a metric rule over one of my tomytec taxis, this gave a track of 9mm, which at 150:1 scale is equiv. to 1350mm., or 4ft 5inches, which looks pretty right for watching cars travelling along Melbourne's std. gauge tram tracks. so measure the track of these model cars, and if they are around 9 or 10mm, about 3/8th. inches, they should be N scale.

They do look big compared to the police car, but they are big Yank Tanks.

Regards,

Bill,

Melbourne.

I suspect they may be a "fit the box" scale rather than a set one. Pretty sure a MK1 Ford Escort isn't the same size as a 70s Dodge, and neither look in proportion to the Supra!

Folks,

Not being into modern cars, the orange one does look to me like a big Yank Tank, but I accept the knowledge of others more informed.

They could certainly be 'box scale', but could be used on an N scale layout in the background, where their overscale size isn't so apparent.

TT scale is 1:120, (I think), if these cars have a track of about 1/2 inch, they'd be pretty close to TT scale.

Bill,

Melbourne
