And as it's An Unusually Productive Day and the platform modifications are working better than I imagined, finished off the far end:

It was worth trimming the circular bits which stop the supporting poles sinking too far into the platform, as they look a little oversize when viewed through the cruel lens of the camera.

Have yet to encounter any, though I hope if Tomix doesn't re-release them, Poppondetta might bring out something similar.

Humbrol AV0100 Weathering Pens set includes rust colours suitable for track.

 

No idea of global availability however.

Woodland Scenics Track Painter felt tipped pens have TT4580 Steel Rail, TT4581 Rusty Rail and TT4582 Weathered Tie which do the job.

As a retired Architect I am a bit worried that, while there are concrete footings to take the load of posts, there are no actual posts! 😟

If it's any consolation, it bugs me slightly too, but once I put the fence up, it will be easy to pretend they are there but you just can't see them :D. It should also soften the visual impact of the alarmingly swollen bicycle.

bikes been left out in the rain too long.
