I’ve seen your 145 series a couple of times in your layout building pictures, and I just realized that you have the full cab version (or whatever it would be called) since the one I found on Tomytec  has this kind of truck bed.

Also I am curious what the train in the repair building is.

Today we perform a long-overdue experiment in expanding provision of invisible overhead wiring so that pantographs are not waving about uselessly in the air:

Specifically the catenary masts need to be mounted in such a way that they are easily removable; the experiment involves 5mm plastic tubing with holes drilled in the centre to accept the poles:

Seems to work quite well.

The invisible catenary wire is quite impressive squid! Rarely see that level of detail.

Next up: some arrangement for the side of the depot where there's long been a large Triangle of Indecision. Something like this seems to work:

so out with the Tamiya foamboard:

then off to the shops for some more bit of wall, as I don't quite have enough...

Slowly getting around to finishing the top of the concrete-ish viaduct section above, which used to look like this:

Need to ballast in the gaps but a susbstantial improvement over the preceding bare plywood and cardboard shims look.

It's surprising how much fencing and railing a layout can swallow up...

Not going win any prizes for fine scale modelling, but looks OK from normal viewing distance.
