If I read it correctly Kunter is realeasing its CRH2-022A (10-304L) now and partially via direct sale. Only very limited numbers are available. Payment by January 2 will see the train shipped by January 4.

The set is also available via https://www.facebook.com/CNRailModel/posts/943799372912220 in HK.

Edit: CNRailModel is also accepting reservations for the new 25B double-decker sets by ModuFactor in orange/cream, https://www.facebook.com/CNRailModel/posts/943805549578269

This information about China Rail novelties is very usefull because here in Spain we have no chinese model train dealers.

You might be too late for the 10-304L Kunter CRH2A, there are non available on TaoBao and CNRailModel. You would have to perhaps find a way to buy through Kunter's WeChat shop, perhaps using a proxy. Amounts were very limited.

They are only a few dealers outside of Mainland China, mainly in HK and Japan.

I recommend following the WeChat accounts of the manufacturers to follow news and also visit often this baidu link https://tieba.baidu.com/f?kw=火车模型&ie=utf-8.

Edit: or come here, I and @Nozomi329try to keep reporting production/sales news.

For buying, best source is TaoBao via a proxy and/or CNRailModel FB account.

Thanks for your support, taobao even with VPN doesnt work properly from here.

I was able to purchase in Spain the Charming 8K and 6K.

Taobao is a pain to use. You need to register to be able to use the site correctly. You can register with your browser auto-translate function and a cellphone to receive the activation's number. I found out you also then needed to activate password login, otherwise you'll be stuck.

There are some guides online but I did not found them very useful. I had did everything by pocking around.

It's good to have Taobao unlocked as I don't find the proxy's search functions well thought. It's a pain to find items with them. The best is to find the items on Taobao and then copy-paste their address in your proxy "shopping agent".

If you're looking for this specific set (10-304L), you're pretty much out of luck. The Kunter Wechat store is out of this set as well. However The three car basic set of 10-302 is still available at some places.

Hi,

my two CRH380 sets arrived as a Christmas present 🙂
Lights are already installed and the train is running very smooth...I was just wondering about the DCC sticker on the box.
Does anybody know if there are versions with included decoders? 🤔 I didn't have the confidence to place the motor car on the track of programming.

See a write-up on DCC installation here!  Best of luck!

Reservations are open for the upcoming orange and cream sets of ModuFactor. Each of the three is 7-car long. Price is 1,399 CNY, only "Nanchang Million City" shop has them so far.

Thanks everyone for the recommendation to use Superbuy - my new N scale C70 gondola wagons by 'Charming' arrived here in Australia today safe and sound.

On January 10 I ordered the wagons and a selection of 40 and 20 foot ISO containers liveried for Chinese shipping lines, and Superbuy was able to send it on from their Chinese warehouse a few days later.

Here is the Taobao link for the wagons:

Here they are behind my main modelling interests - 1980s V/Line!

Good morning/afternoon/evening guys...And happy Chinese new year! (Year of the tiger this time)

After nearly a year of silence, Minitown made a new announcement here: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/CAQzgPUrdrQ0OjH7fM-BKw

Although no specific content is confirmed, looking at the pictures, we're probably expecting the green livery of the BSP25T coaches. And judging from the train number boards and the DF11Z locomotive, this is train T5687/8 running between Beijing and Qinhuangdao, a famous Chinese seaside resort city. This is probably the only regular revenue service hauled by DF11Z locomotives and accessible to public in China. After some searching, this train is more likely Y509/510, still running between Beijing and Qinhuangdao. The normal consist is 10 soft seat coaches and 2 soft sleeper coaches (don't ask me why they need sleeper cars on a 3 hour journey...). However, due to head end power equipment restriction, BSP25T normally wouldn't run with DF11Z, and would still run with DF11G.

A picture of possibly Charming model's CRH1A EMU model:  https://tieba.baidu.com/p/7710855533

A small introduction to the real thing: CRH1A is built by Bombardier-Sifang-Power, and its design is based on Bombardier Regina trainsets used in Sweden. The Chinese version is known for its high acceleration rate among Chinese Highspeed EMUs. On the other hand, it received some complaints due to poor airtight ability when used in the southern mountainous regions with lots of tunnels.

Kunter announced its plan of more CR coaches (specifically 25T) here: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/tb36VrF6wpBnVwJHPHqfIw

The long anticipated dining cars (CA) and soft sleeper cars (RW) will join the existing hard sleeper (YW) and hard seat (YZ) cars.

And although I'm not aware of any, in case anyone obtained the very first big set of Minitown coaches (direct express Z21/22, 18-car set), they made a mistake in the design of the dining car in that set and is now offering replacement. Details are described here: https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/z8CTfoHAVyQ5IKz3xil1qA

Note that this issue only exist with the large set of 18-car set they first released, not with the A+B+C set released later.

I sold my Kunter double-decker coaches and bought the new ModuFactor 25B coaches instead, and I’m very pleased with them.

They are slightly more detailed than Kunter’s, the handrails around the doors are separately fitted, and come equip with automatic knuckle couplers that are compatible with Charming/ChangMing’s. I also expect them to be compatible with Minitown’s.

The consist looks very impressive once put together, and I particularly appreciate how the gangways have been designed. They feel very natural.

The set comes in beautiful cardboard box with a magnetic flap, à la Minitown and Charming/ChangMing. It also contains a small booklet about the prototype and their models.

Afaik, ModuFactor does not have any active Internet presence, Chinese manufacturers usually do not have websites and use WeChat to advertise instead. ModuFactor WeChat (MDFC魔都机辆所) does not have any posts.

You can search 魔都机辆所 or 25B魔都 on TaoBao to find their products. But they only released one set for the moment and should be releasing three more soon.

On the news front, more and more images of Charming/ChangMing CRH1A are being leaked.

https://tieba.baidu.com/p/7748677940 (final post).

After the original production picture, a picture portraying the painted model has appeared. It's not the sexiest of all CRH, but the model looks alright. It seems to be missing the grey roof of the prototype. I don't know if the picture is off the final production model or one of test prototypes.

The Chinese N scale market has been silent for a few month. Today a poster has been leaked showing a new possible plan of Modu factor's bi-level S25B coaches here: https://tieba.baidu.com/p/7836776541

The train appears to be the tourist train Y961/2/3/4 running between Urumqi and Kashgar. Only 4 "soft seat" coach class are made, and the current estimate of delivery is October as the poster indicated.

Apart from that, No news has been heard from Charming models' CRH1 in quite a while. Charming model had a difficult time with one of their HO products and probably had to put in much more resources than anticipated. They announced to deliver 5 HO scale trains in the first half of this year but so far only one came true. The leaked pictures of CRH1 has also been criticized of inaccurate paint scheme.

Just needed to wait a bit, Changming announced the CRH1A today. More details will be released over the week, I will share official pictures when they are published. As always, a Friday release is expected now that the ball got rolling.

What we assume are pictures of the model were shown on FB by a retailer. The model still seems to feature that white roof that had created so much controversy when the first spy pictures were released. From my research, I believe the white roof is prototypical. It only appears gray on many pictures because roofs are not regularly cleaned.
