brill27mcb Posted October 29, 2018 Share Posted October 29, 2018 Well, the 2 new (Mainz and Nuremburg) trams are now in the pipeline to ship in a few days, and I have pre-ordered one of each. My only issue with this chassis design (basically three 4-wheel trams coupled together) is the funny way that it enters into and exits tram-style, tight-radius curves. As the front section twists into the curve, the rear section twists too, even though it is still on straight track. Rich K. Link to comment

PaulJ Posted October 30, 2018 Share Posted October 30, 2018 (edited) I've just ordered one of each of these to go with the Berlin and Munich ones I already have. As an economy measure I've not bought any more powered chassis for now, it's easy enough to swap over the chassis when necessary. Also I've just had several of my existing Tomytec trams converted to DCC but can't really justify the expense of getting more done right now. Which reminds me, German web retailer DM Toys website has a 'DCC + SX' version listed for this chassis (at quite a mark-up), I'm assuming this isn't a factory fitted option, as I've never heard of this on Tomytec chassis before? Zagreb in Croatia has purchased 11 trams from Stadtwerke Augsburg for the price of one new low floor tram according to some reports. All trams will be delivered by the end of December.
