Hope someone can help, planning to build a Helix with single viaduct but do the pieces have the holes for the catenary masts I could use for the upright supports. I know the original double track 348/414 had. Any information would be most helpful

No, single viaduct bases do not come with parts to keep the catenary poles. They are an optional extra.

(so you buy the correct poles/bases. It can be a bit confusing).

I made some similar blocks for one of members that did a double viaduct helix. Just sticks with a few shallow notches for the outside of the viaduct wall every 2". He just cut them off at a staggered patten and the used double stick tape to hold them onto the sides of the viaduct and painted then grey like concrete columns on the outside of the viaduct. Worked pretty well, he did 1.5 turns. He was wild about different setups like this.

Single viaduct can be problematic in regards to the car length. The wheelbase for some cars will clip the viaduct wall and cause derailments.
