Hobbysearch Restock Time

Just this morning i found out that an item i wanted to buy very soon (Kato 10-890 4-car set E231-500), went sold out on HobbySearch (1999.co.jp).

If someone has experienced similar situations, then what is the average time for a restock?

(given that it's a very popular model)

It varies depending on supply.  Best way to track this is to use the Waiting List Mail feature.  This will notify by email when the item returns to stock.  But even with this you are not obligated to buy the item if you find it somewhere else and you are not guaranteed the item when it returns.  In others words it is simply a notification of stock not a reservation.

 

New items often go out of stock and using the Waiting List Mail feature you will find they are re-stocked in as little as overnight or up to a couple of weeks sometimes.

The set you mention is a very common and stock at Kato itself. Shouldnt be too long of a wait.

I've found sometimes that when enough people have something on their waiting list it comes back in stock faster (if possible).

Like katoftw mentioned, this is quite a common and popular item at Kato, so there should be stocks in Kato all the time. You can also check the status of your item whether if it is still in stock at Kato warehouse here:

White Triangle means in stock, black triangle means low stock, circle means scheduled release, no symbol means not in stock

The day you posted this I used the Waiting List Mail feature and this morning when I turned the computer on I had  a notice that 10-890 was back in stock. Go ahead and order!
