Settings for Kato Double Track Single Crossover

We have (finally) gotten the lower deck of our expanded layout up and running before the holidays. In one spot we decided to install one of the Kato Double Track Single Crossovers. We are on DCC, and from our experience with the Kato Double Track Double Crossovers, we have power feeds to all 4 tracks.

 

While most trains run fine, we've noticed a few will spark when going through this piece of track (going straight-thru). The more I stare at the bottom of the turnout and all of the scores and labels, the more I read on the packaging, and the more I read on the internet, the more confused I become.

 

What are the recommendations for proper settings on the bottom of this turnout?
