Hello,

We had another trip to Japan a few weeks ago, so thought i'd post some pics for you. This first batch are from around Osaka and a trip to the railway museum in Kyoto.

All very nice, but I especially like the one with Toji and the Nintendo building in the distance :grin .  I can't wait to go to the new JR West museum.

Some more to add to the collection, from Okayama, on to our first time on Shikoku to Tokushima and back to Okayama on our journey to Tokyo.

Great pics.  What did you think of Tokushima?  I never got down there unfortunately, even though my first residence in Japan was in Okayama.  It's very nostalgic to see those KIHA40s.  I have a Tomix set in JR West's Okayama colors (as in the visible car in image SAM_1509.jpg, those are headed to Soja on the Kibi Line), but now I might need the blue and white JR Shikoku livery as well :grin

Hello, glad you like the pictures. We only stopped for 2 nights in Tokushima, and on the day we had free there, the weather was awful! Wind and rain all day, we had wanted to go up mount Bizan after returning from Naruto, but you couldn't see the top of the mountain, so didn't bother. From the bit we saw I did like Tokushima, it had a pretty chilled out atmosphere to it, and seemed like quite a young town compared to some other places we visited. I certainly want to go back, not just to Tokushima, but we would like to visit Shikoku again and see more of the island.

Here is the final batch of photo's, all taken around Tokyo. Watchers of Japan Rail Journal should recognize the location of one of the pictures!

Nice! You got the Trademark Ochanomizu station photo!

Can I ask what is the bar you visited with the running trains? Is it the one in Ginza or Shinjuku?

What station was the buffer with the zero post?

Hello, that's at the old Shimbashi station. It's a replica of the original station which houses a restaurant, but they also have a small railway exhibition there which is free to visit. It's worth a look there, I was surprised to find an old axlebox cover on display that was manufactured in my home city of Birmingham!

It's Bar Ginza Panorama Trains in Shinjuku, where they film Japan Railway Journal. The picture features the Blue Train cocktail, which was very nice.

Somewhere else I didn't know about that I have to go to now.
