This seems to be all over Facebook. I would say its abusing your trains.  Its Tomix track since I can see the under feeder slots. I'm surprised the couplers hold. Trains are Plarail Advance not Micro Ace or Tomix.

The couplers are bogie mounted, so they stay aligned to the tracks. The motor cars are not crossed, so only the cab cars are on two tracks at the same time. If the trailer bogies can rotate +-90 degrees, this is easy. In fact, an irl pcc tram has the same drifting capability after a bogie takes a wrong turn at a turnout.
