Just back from a two day sidetrip to Fukuoka. One of my objectives was to pick up a string diagram of the Nishitetsu Omuta Line. These are available free to the public. Afaik Nishitetsu is the only railway in Japan, and quite possibly the world that offers this type of timetable to the public. Quite remarkable and fascinating to examine, though the pocket size requires a magnifying glass to read.

Interesting! These are the ones that can pin point the exact moment when the trains will pass, for the beautiful photographic moment ~

In Sweden, Norway and Finland, you can get all string diagrams for free on the web. In Sweden, they even issue specific ones for every day, including all ad-hoc freight trains.

Could you provide some links?  I would like to see how the lines are operated, especially the denser networks.  Thanks.
