The same ideas of 'blending in' were used a century ago when mist gray and leaf green was choosen for some budapest cargo boxcabs and interurban trains. After a couple of accidents, the boxcabs ended up with a large full body white X on both sides and the interurbans with white striping all around. I really hope they plan to use the new stealth sets on grade separated lines only...

This point was mentioned in an email on the jtrains mailing list, apparently some people think that if the chrome-like livery actually comes to pass, it'll be changed once the safety concerns become clear.
