It's a bit of a fiddle to sort the platform out as you need the end sections which go with #4 turnouts, which you can only buy separately. So you either have to buy the island platform set and have two spare ends, or buy the special ends and a couple of island platform sections separately. I did the latter, as Plaza Japan are selling them for a smidge under £3 each at the moment. Two platforms (at least one needs to be the type with the subway entrance, for obvious reasons!) and the end sections will be comfortably under the VAT threshold and you'll still save compared to UK prices, just remember to ask them for the total price as otherwise you won't get combined postage.

You also need two packs of 248mm straights (eight pieces of track) and a pack of the R481-15 curves to wrap the second line around the platform. I've got all of those bits, just need the station to put them on!

You can also use the platform mounted signalbox from the 23-315 set to make it a bit more interesting, just unclip part of the roof section from one of the platforms and drop it in.
