Meitetsu 1000/1200 Series EMU refurb

Some Meitetsu EMUs are getting renewal treatment, among them the 1000/1200 series.  The video provides a nice clear comparison.  Although the colors are the same, and the designs are not dramatically different, it seems to make a big difference.  Why am I getting interested in Meitetsu?

I would say the designs are dramatically different - particularly in that the new one is in fact dramatic, while the initial version wasn't really.  The narrow red stripes on the earlier version were essentially decoration, but now the red plays a much more major (dominant?) role.  The reworked "wedge" in the front also adds to a greater sense of dynamism.

They look indeed like fantasy trains from sombody who did a Meitetsu x Keikyu crossover. Not bad at all, since I like both :)

Renewal formation of Meitetsu 1000/1200 series started to run commercially from 24 Aug.

Thank you for the video. The more I look at this new livery, the more I like it. It somehow reflects a stronger image.
