  1. I’ve started building out my layout and one of the core industries will be modeled after the Taiheiyo Fujiwara Cement Plant. One of the more interesting parts of this plant to model is the rotary kiln so it’s where I started and I’ll work outward from there. I looked up tons of reference pics and created a 3D version, printed and then painted it. It’s designed to fit a stepper motor on one end to slowly rotate the drum.
  2. One of the things I dream about as a “someday” project is an N scale TEM2 from the Soviet Union. These locomotives were based on the Alco RSD-1 shipped to the USSR as part of the lend-lease program during WWII. Does anyone have thoughts about what an appropriate mechanism might be? The link below is to TEM2 drawings with dimensions. Thanks. http://scaletrainsclub.com/board/download/file.php?id=24980&sid=3b4578880387c3f049785da33228f12e&mode=view
  3. Saw this the other day. Looks cool! Be great for buildings and even terrain over small areas. Be neat to see what it could do for roads and sidewalks. Only costs US $6000.00! http://makezine.com/2016/01/06/mcor-arke-brings-full-color-3d-printing-desktop/ Here's another showing the really expensive Mcor Isis. It's tens of thousands of $$$. Cheers eh, Todd
