Baiodo - Laser Cut Cardstock Kits

Came across a new supplier of laser cut cardstock kits - Baiodo. Their first offering is focused on small older style structures and a couple of detail items. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=104&cat=rail&target=Make&searchkey=Baiodo I like how they have done a tile roof in cardstock. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10738551/20/7 It appears that they are done in a beige cardstock and require painting. I think I may have to order a couple and see how they go.

    New modern buildings

Well it looks like some new buildings on ebay from china. Some are extensions of the CNC cut Outland buildings and some now look to have window inserts and nicer details, surface texture and coloring. Just ordered a few to check them out. but some interesting new buildings that have a new look! not sure if these are cnc or moulded walls but the window inserts look like they have square corners. they come with walls pre painted and assembled with window and door inserts and colored rather like a tomytec structure. The outland models did not have any window inserts and only the front face of the styrene is painted so cut edges are just bare gray or white styrene. Nice to have new additions to modern larger buildings! they also look like they could be kitbashed taller if wanted. Floors need to be added if you want any interior detailing or different floor lighting. hard to tell if the same folks as the outland models as ive found many similar sellers from china on ebay are actually the same company. at $15-20 shipped they are not bad at all. some are pretty wild! http://stores.ebay.com/happysun-amy/HO-1-87-Scale-and-N-Scale-/_i.html?_nkw=n+scale&submit=Search&_fsub=18519474010&_sid=777303750 Also Outland now looks to have some new interesting smaller structures similar to small tomytecs that look to be 3D printed http://stores.ebay.com/Outland-Models-CN?_trksid=p2047675.l2563 yeah! love to see innovations and folks trying different combos of production like this. jeff
  3. A couple of new structures from Amagi Modeling Idea 1/150 Scale Paper Model Kit Station Series 06 : Ghost Station & Waiting Room http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10326616 1/150 Scale Paper Model Kit Station Series 07 : Local Station Building / Higashishinjo Station Type http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10326615 not inexpensive, but look nicely detailed from the pictures and some interesting buildings. Its unfortunate they don't seem to do reruns much of some of their other buildings as a few of those were unique. the beauty of lasercut stuff is you should be able to do another production run pretty easily and packaging is minimal! http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/search?typ1_c=104&cat=&state=&sold=0&sortid=0&searchkey=amagi+paper+model cheers jeff
  4. I subscribe to archdaily on FB and thought it was a good idea to share this with members of the forum. There is a lot of work to scratch build this structure. But, it will be really cool to model this. It has a open section that allows viewing from the top and will look good lighted up! I have added a pic with lights...
