  1. RailKingJP has his own website, and it seems that on a weekly basis he features some item available at Shosen Grande, the bookstore at Jimbocho which has floor for railway books and goods. Anyway, this week's special is a pair of mugs that I haven't seen before (not the Kenelphant ones). The YT video is private, I don't get if you're not really supposed to repost it or not, so here's RailKing's page with the embeded video, from which you can click through to YT if you want to: http://railking.jp/goods/character-goods/2017/01/21/20170121/ . These look cool.
  2. In this video, RailKingJP and his son visit car 951-1, which is on display across from the Railway Technical Research Institute in Kokubunji, Tokyo. It appears that during the daytime, the car is open to the public, and has displays and a small library inside. I'll check it out when I drop off my résumé at RTRI https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Class_951_Shinkansen location: https://goo.gl/maps/LGaZoVmHu8p
  3. This looks like a new concept to me, and it's really well done: filming a train while bicycling along side it. Yes, it's not going very fast. But still, I don't know how he got the video so steady. It's amazing. Also some footage of a draw bridge. By RailKingJP.
  4. So I'm pruning my YT subscriptions, and of course I'm still subscribing to RailKingJP's channel, but I thought I'd check out a few of his more recent videos. In this installment, he stands just below a bridge that carries the Tokaido Shinkansen over the Sagami River. Looks risky. location of bridge: https://maps.google.co.jp/maps?hl=ja&ll=35.390926,139.373937&spn=0.003582,0.005381&t=h&z=18&brcurrent=3,0x6019ab4b1a823665:0xd50a2e859d1939a1,1
  5. This guy is awesome, and his videos are great. Here he visits the Comfort Hotel Okayama, some rooms of which have an excellent view of the Okaden turning the corner at Shiroshita Station, at the intersection of Momotaro-odori and Shiroshita-suji. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L42Ia9qOjDI google map centered on hotel: http://maps.google.co.jp/?ll=34.665233,133.93136&spn=0.0018,0.003079&t=m&z=19&brcurrent=3,0x35540639f8683ba9:0x388f39c46b4d2e08,1 Japanese wikipedia page on Shiroshita Station: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%9F%8E%E4%B8%8B%E9%A7%85_%28%E5%B2%A1%E5%B1%B1%E7%9C%8C%29
