  1. Morning all I am looking into building a railway using Tarumi rolling stock. I have done a bit of a search and some stuff has appeared ,map, some vids. Does anyone know if a book has been produced and what would be the best place for photos. Thanks DD

    Japanese model train layout suggestions

Hello, I am new to the forums. I have been wanting to build a Japanese model train layout for about a year now, but never really got the chance because I've been busy with school and other things. the one thing that keeping me from starting this project is what kind of layout i want to do. I like the modern city part of japan and also the shinkansen, but also like the steam era locomotives such as the C61 and C62. If anyone could give me suggestions on what to do, i would be happy and thankful.
  3. This is probably basic advice to long-standing members, but fellow newbs may be interested to know that I found a galaxy of content on Youtube when I pasted the Japanese transliteration of terms such as b-train shorty ( B-トレインショーティー ) and Plarail ( プラレール ) into the Youtube search field. All in Japanese of course, but still fun to watch with informative demonstrations.
