  1. As part of the Hiller Aviation Museum's "Trains and Planes" exhibit, there will be a combined Ntrak / AsiaNrail layout set up for the week between April 12th and 19th. For this layout the AsiaNrail layout height will be lowered from 51" to 43" to match Ntrak's Mountain Division track and my new Hot Springs Junction module will make it debut as the connection between the two layouts. With adjustable legs, in the future this new module can also be used as an AsiaNrail only or Ntrak only module. Scenery on the module is rudimentary at this point but a week long setup is a great way to test track work, etc. The AsiaNrail part of the layout will also feature several new or rebuilt modules. The Hiller Aviation Museum is located next to the San Carlos Airport and can be seen from US Highway 101. The hours for the exhibit are 11:00am to 3:00pm. More details are on the Hiller web site: http://www.hiller.org/index.shtml Either Paul Ingraham or myself or both of us will be there every day along with several members of Peninsula Ntrak. If you are in the Bay Area, it would be great to see you. I'll be sure to post some photos from the exhibit afterwards.
  2. The 2014 Los Altos Train Days event will be held on September 20th and 21st. Peninsula Ntrak and AsiaNrail will operate a combined layout inside the museum building. The AsiaNrail layout will be lowered to the Ntrak mountain division height of 43" from its normal 51" height. This time I will have both my Musashi-Koyama module set and my 4ft Ntrak Hot Springs Junction module in the layout. The junction module was successfully tested during a week long exhibition last April but this time most of the scenery is completed. The remainder of the AsiaNrail layout will be made up of Paul Ingraham's modules representing scenes of Japan, Taiwan, and Korea. I realize that not many of the members of this forum are not in our area but if you are one who is, it would be great to meet you. This is an all layout show with no vendors. Sharing the indoor space with us will be a Swiss narrow gauge layout plus the museum's permanent O scale layout upstairs. Outside there will be both electric and live steam G scale layouts, and an O scale layout. The hours for this show will be 10:00am to 4:00pm on both days. The location is 51 South San Antonio Road, Los Altos, California. Here is a link to the event FLYER
